Vietnam, Australia ‘WILL’ fall like Tibet to China, says Vietnamese Community in Australia

“Right now, we are seriously concerned about the fate of our homeland: VIETNAM, which has been aggressively invaded and dominated by stealth from the Communist China,” reads part of a document handed out by members of the Vietnamese Community in Australia to passersby in Melbourne’s CBD on Sept. 6.

Overseas Vietnamese claim Vietnam is being sold from within, and are urgently calling on a “strong and vocal opposition” to the current moves made by the Vietnamese regime, which could purportedly see Vietnam become China in the not-too-distant future.

If it weren’t for large-scale protests in the south of Vietnam two months ago, large areas of Vietnamese land would now be referred to as “special administrative-economic zones,” per a now-delayed bill that would allow China to rent the territories for 99 years.

Vietnamese at home and abroad are concerned that China does not intend to merely “rent” Vietnamese territory, but to acquire Vietnam.

The group say the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has for some time been buying up key infrastructure and critical assets in Vietnam, such as ports, farms, and energy grids, and making substantial donations to cultural and educational institutions. The CCP’s move on all fronts into the region are seen as “a deliberate and fully funded strategy by the regime.”

The group have highlighted their concern over human rights being trampled upon, and their concern is not unfounded.

Gross human rights violations still take place behind closed doors in China, such as the Chinese regime’s killing of Falun Gong practitioners for their organs on a massive scale.

Tibet is a clear example of inaction by the world. Vietnam WILL be next and no doubt Australia will follow if we do not take measures to protect our national interests today.”

Former parliamentarian Nguyễn Minh Thuyết says the areas of Vietnam that the CCP wants include key territory, such as forested areas on the border, strategically positioned islands, and the coastal areas of Nha Trang, Đà Nẵng and Vũng Áng.

“These areas are being intensively exploited and the environment is devastated,” Nguyễn said, per AsiaNews. “The pollution of soil, water and air is damaging the health of the millions of people who live there.”

“What the authorities are doing is selling out our country to China,” said Mr. Thuận, a Catholic elementary school teacher.

“By getting these territories, China could control almost all of Vietnam by 2020, exercising its ‘soft power’ on the local economy, finance and culture.”
