Boys look like they’re playing in the dirt—but then it hits you, this isn’t a game

Have you ever gone fishing? If you have, you probably haven’t caught a fish the way these boys have. Watch a video above for four unique ways of trapping fish!

Why fish?

Fishing can be a fun, relaxing and joyful activity that you can do with your friends, parents, children or partner for some extra bonding time. Although we all enjoy spending some time with our loved ones in nature surrounded by water, nobody wants to go back home with empty hands.

For some people who live in small villages in remote areas, fishing is the way to feed your family. For more fortunate ones, fishing is a relaxing activity or simply a hobby.

Whatever the reason might be, fishing is a stress-free activity that we enjoy far away from the noise of big cities in the presence of people we love. Fishing can help us appreciate the environment more and improve ourselves by honing outdoors skills. Sometimes, fishing simply brings you joy by experimenting with different fishing techniques and catching a fish in a different and somewhat unusual way.

Health Benefits of Eating a Fish

Let’s not forget that a well-prepared fish is most definitely one of the healthiest foods that can be found on your dinner table. A fish is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, and nutrients which are important for our brain and body. The health benefits of eating a fish are countless from preventing and lowering your risk of stroke and heart attack to protecting your brain from age-related deterioration.

Fishing is a Challenge

Needless to say that the need to pursue and catch is an age-old skill mastered by our ancestors. Plus, there is that well-known thrill of catching a fish. The thrill of catching a fish lies in a challenge because you never know what will you catch and will you catch anything. Well, we have a challenge for you. Create this interesting and unusual trap to catch a fish and wait for the results.

Keep reading and watch the video to find out how.

How to Create a Trap?

For this fish trapping technique, all you need is a bucket with four holes to use as a trap. The next thing you need to do is find a perfect location where you can set up a trap. Two boys in the video found a place that looks like a small river island. However, you can use any muddy place near a river where you usually go for fishing.

When you find your perfect location, dig a hole at the same size as a bucket that will be used as a trap. After you dig a hole, cover it with a bucket and dig one or more ways for a fish to find a trap underneath the bucket. The fish will go right through the hole in a bucket looking for a bait. When you create a trap, leave the location for a few hours before coming back.
